For the 2021 edition, the fanheart3 jury also awarded a honorable mention to Old Henry, directed by Potsy Ponciroli, for presenting many of the stylistic features of fanfiction, drawing on American history and myth to set up a “what if?” that unravels in a slow crescendo, while building in the audience an intense empathy for the main character, struggling with his own destiny.

Third edition at the 2021 Venice Film Festival
The Graffetta d’oro and Nave d’argento awards was assigned on a selection of 12 films among those presented in the sections Venezia 78, Fuori Concorso, Orizzonti, Orizzonti Extra, Giornate degli Autori, Settimana della Critica, chosen by a group of selectors expert in fan culture and participatory dynamics.
The VR Fan Experience awarded one of 10 works in XR selected among those presented at the 2021 VeniceVR Expanded.
