Abbiamo parlato più volte di fanfictions negli scorsi mesi e già accennato in questo articolo l’attento processo di selezione che generalmente segue il fan che voglia iniziare a leggere storie su un fandom di cui ancora conosce poco.
Uno dei problemi principali dell’amante di fanfiction è infatti la mole industriale di materiale spesso disponibile, per lo meno per i fandom di maggiore successo.
Un fandom minore, ad esempio legato ad un film specifico come può essere 3:10 to Yuma (esiste un fandom, sì, e sono sinceramente offesa per i vostri volti stupiti: voi non tatuereste il nome di Ben Wade in fronte, scusate?), costringe a scegliere solamente fra 114 lavori (AO3, dato al 2/11/2015) e quindi è agevolmente affrontabile… Ma chi voglia entrare in Supernatural, oltre a trovarsi di fronte l’obbligatorio recupero di 10 stagioni quasi tutte da 23 episodi, potrebbe provare un lieve panico di fronte alle 116.464 storie ad oggi pubblicate sempre su AO3 (2/11/2015).
Scegliere a caso, per lo meno all’inizio, è un’operazione poco raccomandabile: una storia sbagliata, soprattutto per chi non è abituato alle fanfiction, rischia di causare traumi insuperabili e convincere che il mondo sia un brutto posto. Esageriamo, forse, ma immaginate una persona che non abbia mai letto libri affrontare per primo Cinquanta Sfumature…
Il modo migliore per muoversi, dunque, è prestare attenzione a quanto il resto del fandom dice… E quindi leggere o le fanfiction di cui tutti parlano o quelle più recensite (e amate) nei vari archivi.
Su AO3 (che intuirete essere, visto il nostro continuo citarlo, il nostro archivio preferito) ciò è reso più agevole dalla possibilità di ordinare per kudos (likes, in pratica), per bookmarks o per commenti le storie, oltre che selezionarle sulla base delle proprie tag del cuore (questione che però non affronteremo in questa sede).
Vi proponiamo oggi sei storie (e due bonus speciali) che sono diventate simbolo dei fandom di appartenenza. Queste fanfiction hanno ispirato meme, picset, gifset, alle volte addirittura ulteriori fanfiction. I contenuti sono i più vari: si va dall’ “iper-canon” alle AU più complesse, da contenuti simpatici a cose che non vorreste vedere nei vostri incubi, da bellissimi lieto fine alle tragedie senza possibilità di ritorno. Con in comune una qualità che non ha nulla da invidiare ad un libro da scaffale.
